Employee Engagement


HRM department of Many Organizations are trying to build good employee engagement. This is the easiest way to get maximum productivity of the Employees. Simply this is good drug to overcome workplace challenges.

What is Employee Engagement?

This is HRM concept that reflect enthusiasm and dedication level of employees for their job. Engaged employees are not just working for salary, they are very much concern about their job and organization performance (Smith, 2020). Engaged employees are good asset to the organization.

Importance of Employee Engagement.

HRM department is very much aware on importance of the Employee engagement. That is why they are doing maximum to keep Employee engagement high. Below mention few points.

  • Employee Happiness (Wickham, 2020)

Employee happiness is very important to the Organization. People are doing everything to get happiness to their life. Employee recognition is very important to work life. Employee engagement will help for recognition. Then employee happiness is high.

  • Lower Absenteeism (Wickham, 2020)

Workplace is 2nd home of employees. Then employees are well engaging with workplace, they will self-motivate to report to work,

  • Great employee loyalty (Wickham, 2020)

With the engagement, employees are well connected to the Organization. If employees are having proper carrier path with the Organization, they won’t leave. Majority of the employees are accepting other organizations job offers because of the lack of the loyalty. Loyalty is trust between Employee and Organization. Engagement is the easiest way to build trust between them.

  • High Productivity (Wickham, 2020)

If employees are happy, their productivity is high. Reason is less work pressure. Work pressure is not an issue to them because they are well connected with the organization, and they are self-driving to Organization mission and vision. Then automatically productivity high.

  • Better Customer Service (Wickham, 2020)

Employees are more focused on their job because they know organization mission and vision by heart. Then customer satisfaction is the number one priority. Then automatically employees are providing incomparable service to the Customer.

How to improve Employee Engagement.?

There are many ways to improve employee engagement. There is no limitation of factors. Whatever the factor that helps to improve bond of employee and Organization, those will help to improve Engagement. Below explain only few factors.

  • Supply right tools (Lytle, 2016)

It is very important provide require infrastructure to employees. This may be tangible or intangible. Then employees are able to continue their work without any interruption.

  • Individual Attention (Lytle, 2016)

Employees are very much interest to have management attention. Once they receive attention, never let to go away. Then Organization supposed to give attention to employees.

  • Training and coaching (Lytle, 2016)

Organization is allocating budget for employee improvement. Employee point of view, Organization is investing for their future. This is the highest employee engagement.

Conclusion

HRM has to be prime mover to take necessary steps to maintain good engagement with employee and Organization. That would be more proactive to secure organization path.
