Employee Compliant

 

Conflicts are occurring during the work time. These can be happened between employees or employer employees. There should be proper procedure to taken complaints. Otherwise, employees may not be happy about their working environment. There should be dedicated team in HR to oversee complaints and actions are needed to take reasonable time frame.

Below mention few reasons for complaints.

  • Bullying and harassment
  • Discrimination
  • Health and safety issues in workplace
  • Work environments
  • Relationship in the workplace
  • Organizational changes
  • Terms and Conditions of employment

Below characteristics are needed to include in compliant process (Australian Human Rights Commission, 2022).
  • Inquiries are needed to take up with unbiased. Otherwise, employees will not raise any complaints. Investigations must be continued with fairly for both parties. Finally, decision making must be impartial.
  • Information must be confidential from start to end. It is important to share information only with people who are involving for investigation.
  • All the transactions, decisions, and actions must be transparent. No one can be able to challenge. If not, employees will not raise any complaints. Then no one raise the voice for any violation.
  • There should be process to easy access and understand. That shouldn’t be complicated, and all employees would be treated equally.
  • Actions are needed to take on fair period. That won’t be too lengthy because information will disrupt. Then directly affect to final decision. This is important to protect fairness of the process.

The way of handle complaints

It is important to handle complaints technically. Need to grab information as much as possible. Information is especially important to make final decisions correctly.

Listen carefully (Livermore, 2022)

It is must to listen to complaints completely. Make sure to note down all important points. Sometime, employee not expecting ant actions but only expecting to listen about complaint. 

Ask many questions (Livermore, 2022)

Needs to question back regarding the incident. Then able to understand the real incident. Specially, when asking questions, need to use below type questions.
Who, What, When, Where, Why, and how (Livermore, 2022).

Request written confirmation (Livermore, 2022)

Make sure to get written confirmation about complaint. Then always reveal the truth. It is because this is evidence of what said. People reluctant to tell lies if getting recorded.

Confidential conversation (Livermore, 2022)

Inform that conversation cannot be leaked. People are interested in gossips. But formal complaints must be within themselves. This is important that both parties must adhere. Otherwise, employee will not raise any complaint.

After complaint Action (Livermore, 2022)

There should be action for culprit. There should be proper punishment list. Then employees are vey clear and they will be afraid for misbehavior.

Conclusion

It is important to have proper complaint process in the Organization. That will help to improve the employee behavior. Any misbehavior will be led to complaint.
